On April 10, 2011, four extraordinary guitarists premiered a new composition by Anthony Wilson. Commissioned by master guitar maker John Monteleone, the piece showcases his quartet of instruments called The Four Seasons. Documented here in music, film, and photography is the story of a collaboration between two friends, craftsman and musician, and the realization of a shared dream.
The featured guitarists are legends in the making: Anthony Wilson, Julian Lage, Steve Cardenas, and Chico Pinheiro. The concert contains Anthony Wilson’s four-part suite Seasons: A Song Cycle For Guitar Quartet, solo pieces by each guitarist, and a version of Joni Mitchell’s classic The Circle Game, again arranged for the quartet by Anthony Wilson. The deluxe two disc physical package features an audio CD of the entire April 10 concert, as well as an all-region DVD containing a 50-minute concert documentary film (shot and edited by Mark Ryan) and a photographic slideshow (shot by Ian Gittler) tracking the history of this exciting collaborative project from inception to premiere.

I’ve seen these bags around and knew that they were made from strips of lorry tarpaulin but never new the company that made them or the story behind them.
Created by two Swiss, graphic designer brothers in 1993 who wanted waterproof bags to carry their work.
Not just made from bits of recycled trucks they also make use of unravelled car seat belts, bicycle inner tubes beyond repair and recycled airbags.
